River of Starlight

Earth and rock warmed by sun hold the flames
Sheet of diamonds waiting for the blanket of stars
Liquid cloak to cool the land of a hundred infernos
Fires should have burned out before, phoenix shard
Sun set into a planet like a gem

Magma flows under footsteps of the star children
Eyes of angry gods but souls of innocent newborn
Their path leads across the gallows of the kingdom
Into the burning gardens of the queen Seraphim
Fire burning, not destroying

Fountains of melted gold and starlight geyser
These waters to bathe in make them wiser
One day to call court over royalty in heaven
Now they wander through the sea of brimstone
Trumpets sound at their entrance

Queen Seraphim rests in the folded fields
The world moves quickly under her build
Molten skin drawn of frame of lustful symphony
Pressed against the sky of darkest ebony
Set in ice, tightly

Her passion is known, starlight rippled over
Twisting in ecstasy, passionate emptiness fills her
Lying on her back against the volcanic earth
Cold sky embracing her body, pushing forth
Passion of fire and night

Tensing her body against the bombardment
Aching for release from ageless torrent
She turns into the sun once again warming
Her lover spurned, gazes at her shivering
Steam boils up to void

Child of the star spent and resting on mountains
Lovers turn cold and tears leave twin stains
Marring a perfect face as you find earth again
Flames and golden fountains are your asylum
Prison of safety and warmth
