To An Angel
Twin orbs of jade set in beauty
Smile that haunts my chest
Threatening my heart to break
A breath on the dying embers
Suddenly my soul bursts afire
Breaking me into a puzzle
Shattered parts make a whole
Torn fragments that don't fit
She is the only one who can
Find the pieces of me and
Make me whole and new again
She holds me like a grain of sand
Suddenly I can smile for the first
Mends the wounds it inflicted
Like a quenching of my thirst
I find myself utterly addicted
My rhymes certainly rhyme now
That her smile shines on me
I hope one day she would allow
Me to hold her and to see
Eyes of jade that broke me
Looking up into mine
And I'd have my Little Zee
That would be very fine
Smile that haunts my chest
Threatening my heart to break
A breath on the dying embers
Suddenly my soul bursts afire
Breaking me into a puzzle
Shattered parts make a whole
Torn fragments that don't fit
She is the only one who can
Find the pieces of me and
Make me whole and new again
She holds me like a grain of sand
Suddenly I can smile for the first
Mends the wounds it inflicted
Like a quenching of my thirst
I find myself utterly addicted
My rhymes certainly rhyme now
That her smile shines on me
I hope one day she would allow
Me to hold her and to see
Eyes of jade that broke me
Looking up into mine
And I'd have my Little Zee
That would be very fine
