Druid Tree (remastered)

I think this was the first poem I blogged here. I said then that it needed some more.

A brilliant point of light
In the forest dark, so bright
Bending, gnarled, ancient
The newborn crow sent
Messenger of dead limb
The sap of healing serum
Commander of broken root
Cloaked in bloody dirt
Her body gracefully moves
Nature's bosom overflows
Comely face of moon flesh
Nature's breath then sighs

Weeds of neglect now rest
Bound tightly around, nest
Old and bent they pull down
Ravages of time needle sewn
A crown of decay on her brow
Seeds of rebirth now sow
Crow and Owl rest on branch
Hopeless omens bind staunch
Sun burns over the dark gate
Again like before circling fate
Chains of vines break under
Towards sun, canopy sunders

Her fingers stroke the sky
Towering at nature's ply
Bending the wind to move
Wild heartbeats to soothe
Knocks on wooden core
Tears from clouds pour
She soaks up the saddness
Burning emotion will suffice
Gnarled skin, rough frayed
Sallow unmoving facade
Beauty in deathly gathering
Twisted bent still standing
