Thin Line

There is a thin line between intelligence and stupidity. Ever meet someone who will refuse to argue a point because you haven't done the "research"? Ironically they imply that had you had this argument you would be rather wrong. They test the waters by asking you questions... Your answers are wrong. Why? Because you haven't done your "research". Ah, well could you tell me why my statement is wrong? Nope. It's wrong because the mysterious "research" has been done. It's funny how you can avoid being proven incorrect by trivalizing someone else's statements.

Road Closed

There are too many barriers in life! Real and imaginary... they hinder our movement. There is this road in my home town that is closed. It's been closed for almost three weeks, and it was originally only supposed to be closed for a couple of days. No construction has been done on the road. The signs are not a physical barrier... besides being out in the road... they are a mental one. But, why do we listen to signs that have no purpose? Why do we let imaginary barriers herd us like cattle? Time... detours... pain. These things hold us back... make us rethink our selves until we no longer know what about our selves is real, and what is the construct of a structured society. I'm not advocating anarchy to my imaginary audience. I am suggesting that if you read my words... take a look at your self. And, do one thing that society wouldn't approve of. Do one thing that your peers would smirk at. So one thing that is only you. Find that little thing, and drive by the road closed sign. Because it's only a barrier if you think it is.
